A simple guide to getting the most from your practice
An affirmation is a positive statement written in the present tense, as if what you want is already true. The idea is to train your mind to believe something before it has fully happened — shifting your thoughts, feelings, and ultimately your actions toward the life you want.
Your brain has a system called the Reticular Activating System (RAS) that filters what you notice in the world. When you repeat affirmations regularly, you're essentially programming your RAS to spot opportunities, people, and situations that align with your goals — things you might have overlooked before.
The best times are first thing in the morning before your mind fills with the day's noise, and last thing at night when your subconscious is most receptive. Even just 5 minutes of reading or repeating your affirmation can make a real difference over time.
